About the presenter
Bernard Esquivel MD, MHA, Ph.D., is the CEO of Total Quality Medicine (TQM), a Mexico-based leader in health-related services and products, including GeneTest. GeneTest is a division of TQM that provides a range of services and testing to personalize medical treatments through the development, design, and improvement of genetic testing. He also is the CEO of Genomedik, a personalized medicine clinic in Guadalajara, and is the medical director at Boutique Hospital Rio Bamba in Mexico City. Dr. Esquivel received his medical degree with a speciality in clinical immunology and allergies from the National Autonomous University of Mexico. He also completed post-graduate work in medical genetics at the University of Valencia, Spain, and has a certificate in pediatric clinical immunology and allergies from San Juan de Dios Hospital. Dr. Esquivel is the current president of the Latin American Association of Personalized Medicine, is an active researcher with the Clinical Pharmacogenomics Implementation Consortium, and serves as an active member of many professional organizations, including the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology.
