Payment Paths

You may be wondering: How much does the RightMed test cost? Does my insurance cover it? What are my options? We created this Payment Paths video to help explain your options. You can also read on for more information about Insurance Billing, Self-Payment and our Financial Assistance Program.

Insurance Billing

1: Your Order is Placed and Reviewed

Your healthcare provider orders the test for you. We’ll review your info and reach out with any questions.

2: We Submit Your Claim, You Receive an EOB

After your test is completed and results are issued, we submit your claim to insurance and you’ll receive an Explanation of Benefits (EOB) from your insurance company. Don’t worry, this is not a bill, just an explanation of what’s covered. We may work with your provider to appeal for additional coverage on your behalf.

3: You Receive Your Invoice

OneOme will send you an invoice for the amount not covered by your insurance plan. This is payable by credit card, debit card, or Health Savings Account. At some health systems, this invoice will come from your provider instead of OneOme.

4: Optional: You can Apply for Financial Assistance

If you’re concerned about your ability to pay for the RightMed test, you have the option to apply for our Financial Assistance Program. If you apply and are approved, your maximum out-of-pocket-cost will be $199, regardless of what your insurance pays.

Self-Pay Option

Miriam Website

Don’t have insurance or prefer to pay out-of-pocket? OneOme offers a patient self-pay price of $349, which can be paid for with a debit card, credit card, Health Savings Account (HSA), or Flexible Spending Account (FSA). Check with your HSA/FSA benefits coordinator for confirmation on the specific requirements for eligibility and reimbursement.

Financial Assistance Program

OneOme offers a Financial Assistance Program to provide access to the RightMed test for patients in financial need. The Financial Assistance Program offers predictable out-of-pocket costs and helps provide access to medically necessary tests to patients who may not otherwise be able to afford it. We encourage patients to apply prior to ordering the RightMed test to determine eligibility.

To qualify for OneOme’s Financial Assistance Program, the following criteria must be met:

- The RightMed test must be ordered by your healthcare provider

- You have insurance but are underinsured (e.g., high-deductible plan)

- You meet certain income limits for your household

- You, or your consenting parent/guardian, or your ordering healthcare provider, is 18 years or older

Patients who qualify for OneOme's Financial Assistance Program will have a maximum out-of-pocket cost of $199 for the RightMed test. Patients who are not eligible may either submit a claim to their insurance or choose patient self-pay option for $349.
